Hydronic Heating Systems Melbourne

Hydronic heating offers highly effective and economical central heating as it uses hot water for transferring heat by the process of natural convection and radiation. Most commonly, the water is heated inside a boiler and then it is pumped to the panel radiators, placed in different rooms, through piping. Heat is then transferred from these hydronic heating panels into the room air, increasing the temperature to a level set on the thermostat.

A hydronic system comprises of four major components:

  1. Boiler – it is used for heating water to a temperature, which can be controlled thermostatically. Boilers use LPG, natural gas, solid fuel and electricity for heating purposes.
  2. Piping system – Pipework carries hot water from the boiler to the radiator panels or into a slab, and brings the water back for reheating as well.
  3. Pump – it circulates water through the network of pipes.
  4. Radiators – They transfer heat energy carried by hot water to the room. There are a variety of radiator panels available.

Hydronic Slab Heating

In a hydronic slab heating system, an optimum efficiency boiler heats water and circulates it through a symmetrically placed network of pipes, made of high quality PE -RT polyethylene, which are concealed in a floor slab. It is a low temperature and energy-efficient system, which keeps the cost of operation to a minimum.

This whole system converts your floor slab into a heat radiator, which slowly release clean radiant heat equally into each room without stirring up allergens and dust inside the room. The ideal way of running hydronic slab heating system is to make it in junction with a CO2 heat pumping system.

Hydronic Floor Heating

Hydronic flooring heating uses a boiler to heat water that circulates through an arrangement of pipes and gently warms the home or office space to a desired temperature. The whole pipe system is placed under the floor and the temperature is controlled with the help of a thermostat. Heat levels can be controlled with thermostats placed individually at different locations to increase or decrease temperature in specific areas or with a central thermostat for the whole space at the same time.

This type of  hydronic heating can be used either alone or with a combination of panel radiators and convectors.

These panels vary in dimensions and are available with different heating capabilities which allow you to choose the perfect panel for the rooms in your home. There are a large number of combinations of heating panels in terms of height, depth and length. Our standard panels are available in lengths from 300 to 3000mm and heights from 500 to 900mm.
